Sales Associate

  • Record Storage Systems is seeking a highly-motivated, outgoing individual for the position of Sales Associate. A qualified candidate is an ambitious self-starter, who enjoys problem solving, thinking creatively, and helping clients reach their full potential and efficiency. As Sales Associate, you will be required to work both independently and with the Record Storage team to identify and develop qualified leads and convert them to customers while maintaining strong relationships with current clients.   • As Sales Associate, you must display strong communication skills, computer skills, the ability to network, multitask, and maintain successful business relationships. The Sales Associate should have a general understanding of the software and technology landscape, be able to confidently and effectively communicate software benefits to prospects and customers, and be able to create and maintain relationships with clients by demonstrating the value of paper-based and electronic services.

  • Job Responsibilities:

  • Recognize opportunities for new business by evaluating and qualifying leads, and being able to clearly understand potential clients’ needs. A high level of confidence and professionalism is required when dealing with top decision makers.
  • Identify and close new business. This requires an effective networker who is friendly, confident and enthusiastic at a variety of networking events. You must be willing to make cold calls by phone and in person. We are looking for a people person.

  • Use insight and consultative selling techniques to educate prospects and clients on the benefits of implementing a software solution.

  • Help customers maximize the use of software and ensure quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications and other features of Record Storage Systems’ software platform.

  • Maintain and foster relationships with current customers — identifying opportunities for upselling or the addition of new services when necessary. 
  • Manage a balanced sales pipeline and forecasting revenue in Pipedrive CRM software. Work with Marketing to remain current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.


Required Experience

  • 1-2 years prior experience in software sales or technology-related business development
  • Must be able to travel through marketplace, providing own transportation.
  • A four year bachelor degree is highly preferred.
  • Prior sales experience is not a requirement, but is highly preferred.
  • Three to four years of experience in a business environment.
