Shred Event Details: When, Where & What to Bring
You’re invited to a Community Shred Day! Here are the key details at a glance:
📅 Date & Time: Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (one day only – don’t miss it!).
📍 Location: Matthews Community Center (back parking lot) – convenient for Charlotte-area residents. Enter off of Sadie Drive for easy access.
💲 Cost: FREE for all community members. Just show up with your documents – our service is completely complimentary as a thank you to the community.
📦 Limit: Please limit your drop-off to 4 banker boxes or equivalent per person/vehicle so we can serve everyone efficiently. (That’s about ~100 pounds of paper.)
📑 What to Shred: Any paper documents with personal or sensitive info. This includes old bank statements, tax returns, medical records, bills, junk mail with your name/address, financial files, etc.. If it has an account number or social security number, it should be shredded!
🔒 Preparation: No need to remove staples, paper clips, or file folders – our industrial shredding equipment can handle them. Remove papers from binders or notebooks and leave out any non-paper items (like CDs, credit cards, or electronics) to ensure smooth shredding.
🚗 Easy Drop-Off: The event is drive-through and contactless. Simply load your boxes or bags of papers in your trunk – when you arrive, our team will unload everything for you while you stay in your vehicle. It’s fast, convenient, and safe.
